Across Southern Europe the citrus trees and orchards, are bearing their fruits and the branches are absolutely laden with them. Citrus fruits are just starting to hit our supermarket shelves, as the season has taken a distinct autumnal almost wintery feel..It’s such a great time of year to enjoy citrus fruit and gain all of the immune boosting properties, in preparation for colder weather and to help give our immune system a welcome boost.

They are best enjoyed naturally, not in juice form, whereby sugars and stabilisers can be added.Citrus fruits are an incredible source of vitamin C. They also contain B vitamins, potassium, phosphorous, copper and magnesium, and they have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.  Even the smell of them makes your taste buds burst with water and they taste amazing, what’s not to love..
