Where are the walks held?
The walks are generally on Tuesday or Thursday mornings starting at 10.15 in the city of Cambridge or surrounding countryside. We have a list of planned walks that includes: Grantchester Meadows, Wimpole, and Cambridge college gardens for the sculpture trails.
Where do we meet?
The meeting point will be published with the details of each walk.
How long are the walks?
The walks are generally between 2-3 miles and take 40-60 minutes. The distance is published with the details of each walk
What’s the pace like?
We are a group of mixed ability so some of us walk faster or slower than others and that’s ok. We all get to the same place and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee!
What to wear?
Good walking boots, or wellingtons if it’s particularly wet and therefore likely to be muddy. Otherwise good outdoor clothing to suit the weather. Also bring some money for refreshments afterwards.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, you’re very welcome to bring well behaved dogs. We are often joined by Monty Donty a sprocker spaniel.
The Wimpole walk and some others do require dogs to be kept on a lead through livestock areas, so may not be ideal.
